Over
the years we have been fortunate to work on many
varied and fascinating projects covering a
host of industries. We treat every project
as a new and interesting challenge.
Client confidentiality prevents us from
disclosing most projects, but here are a
couple we can mention:
Low-cost compact Jacquard controller
For the majority of people who don't
know; a jacquard is attached to a weaving
loom and individually raises/lowers the
thread. This enables the weaving of logos or
text down the edge of the cloth.
BioDigital completely re-engineered
this product reducing it from several boards
down to one board small enough to be fitted
inside the jacquard. Designs are simply
up-loaded from a Palm PC to the unit. The
product is now smaller, more reliable and
economical to produce.
Taxi text message
This is an example of one man with an
idea.
We worked with the client to produce a
workable system. The device enables a taxi
driver to sent automated text messages to
clients such as 'your taxi is outside'
or 'your taxi will be with you in 5
minutes'. This system reduces drivers
down-time and improves the service for their
customers.
We produced an initial prototype (plus
Windows package) to prove the concept. We
then produced a final compact unit capable
of fitting to a car dashboard.
BioDigital has a display of previous work,
this can be seen at our
office.
